Sunnie Liu is an artist and organizer based between New York City and the Bay Area, with roots in rural China and Texas.
Through a transdisciplinary art practice, Sunnie creates liberation evangelism, diasporic biomythography, and critical fabulation. Sunnie's work has been featured by the Contemporary Arts Museum Houston, Elizabeth Foundation for the Arts, Lower Manhattan Cultural Council, Ely Center for Contemporary Art, Museum of Contemporary African Diasporan Arts, Asian American Arts Alliance, Field Projects, NYU Press, and POV on PBS.
Sunnie is currently a Public Interest Scholar at UC Berkeley Law. Sunnie co-founded Xin Sheng Project and co-led award-winning campaigns.
